building a society that embraces non-violent, peaceful methods of resolving conflict
ABOUT US
SADRA operates to contribute in building a society that embraces non-violence, peaceful methods of resolving conflict, using conflict transformation approaches in resolving differences. SADRA is training leaders for today’s struggles and leadership for tomorrow. Societal transformation and reconciliation has been difficult, and intervention and training at the grassroots level is where a difference is made. SADRA provides conflict mediation, peace training, capacity and team building, and specific interventions to issues such as school violence and xenophobic attacks. SADRA’s clients include schools and universities, community and government leaders, pastors and churches and traditional leaders. SADRA actively seeks to collaborate with other programs and to network with all affected stakeholders. Partnership are essential to holistic and sustainable solutions.
OUR 2020 VISION

Southern Africa presents a very unique working environment for SADRA, with needs that vary from one country to another. SADRA aims to work with most countries of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) but will prioritize familiar territory over unfamiliar. The 2014 to 2020 SADRA vision has a commitment to work in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Lesotho and Swaziland with a possibility to expand work to all 15 SADC countries by 2030 as well as throughout the continent by 2063. SADRA’s vision is to have 20 trained conflict mediators in 20 communities, by 2020.
